Science in the Classroom
One of the main missions of APECS Bulgaria is to bring polar science closer to young people from an early age. We organize educational lectures and demonstrations in schools across the country, where our young scientists present topics related to the Arctic, Antarctica, climate change, and field research in extreme conditions in an accessible and interactive way. Our goal is to spark students' interest in science and show them that knowledge can be an exciting adventure.

Live Encounters with Science
APECS Bulgaria is a regular participant in the Sofia Science Festival – one of the most significant science and education events in the country. At our booth, visitors, especially children, can explore real scientific instruments, ice samples, interactive games, and visual materials from the polar regions. Our events aim to engage the public through fun, curiosity, and direct interaction with scientists who share their firsthand experiences.

Education through Expedition Participation
Some of our members have the unique opportunity to take part in Bulgarian Antarctic expeditions on Livingston Island. There, they not only conduct scientific research but also create content that we later use in our educational activities in Bulgaria – photos, videos, first-person stories, and field data. This direct involvement allows us to share with the public the real face of life and work in Antarctica, inspiring future polar explorers.

Souvenirs with a Cause
To support our educational activities and promote polar science, we offer themed souvenirs with a meaningful cause – stickers, bookmarks, badges, and other items inspired by polar research. Proceeds from their sale are used to fund our initiatives, provide materials for schools, and support participation in science events. Every souvenir carries a message – that science is important, accessible, and inspiring.
