Bulgarian Antarctic Institute
The Bulgarian Antarctic Institute (BAI) is the main organization responsible for coordinating and conducting Bulgaria’s Antarctic expeditions. Through the operation of the Bulgarian Antarctic base “St. Kliment Ohridski” on Livingston Island, BAI significantly contributes to Bulgaria’s presence in the international polar community. Our partnership with BAI provides direct access to field research, logistical support, and opportunities for young scientists to participate in expeditions and scientific projects in Antarctica.

Bulgaroznayko
The Bulgaroznayko children’s books have reached every continent on Earth. They have taken part in several Bulgarian Antarctic expeditions and are part of the Library of the Bulgarian Base on Livingston Island. In 2022, a Falcon 9 rocket by SpaceX launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida. On board were the books, making them the first Bulgarian children’s books to travel into space.
